Exclusive hire of the Black Ant Barn – NO VENUE HIRE FEE! – is available for more than 40 guests. We can cater for up to 118 guests banquet style and 200 for cocktail functions.
Menus are custom-made to suit our clients and their guests, taking into consideration any dietary requirements requested.
Black Ant Gourmet – owned and operated by Noosa Local , Jodie Willliams and her Black Ant team – has been very busy off-site catering and now offers a rustic barn at the Kin Kin General Store to accommodate client functions.
The Black Ant Barn saves time and money in venue hire as, well as all the hard work and stress of hosting an event at a private property. Our private alfresco area overlooks stunning rural views and is your private space for the afternoon or evening.
We do most of the styling with you adding the final touches, such as some colour to our white or off-white vintage themed decorations. All the hard work is done, just add a few of your own items to customise and personalise your special occasion.
Just 30 minutes’ drive from Noosa, Cooroy and Gympie, Black Ant Barn is a great central meeting place where guests can soak up the relaxed country atmosphere while enjoying the company of friends, family and colleagues without compromising on a quality dining experience.
AirBnb accommodation, cabins, and camping with hot showers is available locally. Affordable bus transport packages is available for larger groups with pick-ups and drop offs to Noosa, Cooroy and Gympie regions.
There are several options to exchange your vows in Kin Kin, including at Broadcroft Garden, our quaint local church, or even on-site in our open space garden area.
A more exclusive venue option is available at our Mayan Farm in Kin Kin, where a venue hire fee allows you to have a private function and camping, toilet and shower facilities are available. There is an option for deluxe accommodation that will sleep up to four couples for those not wanting to experience the joys of camping.

Black Ant Gourmet catering experiences
Pre-organised drink packages available for all tastes and budgets. Local beer and ginger beer on tap, cocktails, quality wines, sparklings, bottled beer and spirits. Tabs, packages or pay as you go.
Canapes package – light nibbles – Choose 6 to be served over a 1 hour food service. $15 / head avg.
Three course deluxe dining experience – Menu designed for you after consult. Share entrée for 4 ( up grade to 2 choices of entrée) , 4 choice main course, 3 choice dessert option $55/ hd avg.
Finger or Fork food – a full meal served over 2.5 hours – 8 different items. Designed for stand-up groups that can mingle with an option to sit for speeches or presentation. $26 / hd avg.

There is an 8% increase for off-site events due to packing, handling and transport expenses.
Smokey BBQ Buffet – 3 BBQ meats, 5 salads, one potato dish all served with dinner rolls, sauces, condiments and sides to suit meats chosen. Upgrade your buffet by starting with canapes or share entrée and finish with one of our amazing dessert options. $28 / hd avg. with canape entrée or dessert extra $6 / hd avg.
Two course dining experience – share entrée followed by alternate drop main course with vegetarian option (or upgrade to a 4 choice main meal where waitress takes each guest’s order). $45 / hd

With 30 years experience chefing in Noosa and 15 years’ experience catering in the Noosa shire and beyond, no off-site job is too big or too small, from 30 people to 420 people stand-up or sit-down. We specialise in quality country weddings, birthdays and corporate functions.
We understand that being flexible with catering menu options is important. Not only do our clients have their own taste and style, but the ability to cater at different venues gives us an opportunity to alter menus to suit those venues and create the right ambience.
Utilising Jodie’s extensive chef and catering background, you can tailor your menu and be part of the Farm to Plate experience at your own home or venue.
